For making urgent passports the government of India has made the provision of TATKAAL scheme. In this the applicant has to file 3 documents other than the 14 documents that are generally required which are mentioned below. Out of these 3 documents at least one should be the photo ID document and one out of 3 should be from among the documents as indicated from (a)-(i) as well as the affidavit (Annexure “1”) over the stamp which must be non-Judicial and must be attested through Notary.
(a) Voter ID card (EPIC);
(b) Identity card of service issued by the Central/State Government, Any undertaking of public sector, any local bodies or any company that must be public limited.
(c) Certificate of caste like ST/SC/ OBC;
(d) ID card of Freedom Fighter;
(e) License of any Arms;
(f) Any document related to property like Registered Deed or Patta;
(g) Rations Cards;
(h) Document of Pension such as pension book of ex-service man, Order of pension payment, Dependent/Widow certificate of any ex-servicemen, pension order of old age, pension order of Widow;
(i) Identity card issued by the Railway;
(j) PAN Cards;
(k) Kissan/Bank/ Passbook of Post office;
(l) Any card issued to the student by Educational Institution that is recognized;
(m) Driving Licenses
(n) Any Birth Certificate that has been issued under the provisions of RBD Act.
